Some of you have asked about a trip to Sea Base next year. Troop 136 from Lufkin has a crew and a few open spots.

Troop 136 in Lufkin, TX has reserved an 18-20 person Sea Exploring Adventure at the BSA Florida Sea Base High Adventure Base in Florida for June of 2022.
This Adventure offers our crew the opportunity to experience a sailing adventure of yesteryear. The vessel will be at least 75′ or more. Normally a gaff-rigged topsail schooner. Activities will include snorkeling the beautiful Florida Keys, fishing, and hands-on sailing. Also, there will be a port-o-call in Key West. This adventure is a seven-night, eight-day program.
Adventure dates are June 9th -16th 2022. Our travel days will be either June 7th or 8th and June 16th or 17th. Depending on flight availability. We are estimating that the total adventure price including airfare and food for travel days will be somewhere between $1800 – $2200. We are shooting for closer to the $1800 price range.
All participants will need to be registered either with a troop, crew, or with the council or your home district as of January 2022. I do welcome parents that want to join with youth to also come along. However, the adults will also need to be registered with either a unit or at the district/council level.
This will be a first pay first attend situation. Currently, we have openings for at least 7 more participants, possibly up to 10 more participants.
PS – There are still a few items that were not picked up last night. Backpacks, Cots, Chairs, Sleeping Bags, etc. Please verify with your scout that he has everything.
