Hey Troop!
We have an awesome opportunity to help Pack 359 with Recruitment this month. This is a great chance to be an example for the younger cub scouts while also helping ensure our stability in the years ahead. By helping the Pack with the small things, we can ensure our Troop will continue to have Scouts join each year. Plus Scouts earn service hours 🙂
TONIGHT – The Pack has a Water Day at the Whitehouse City Park from 5 PM to 8 PM. The main thing they need help with is building the Raingutter Regatta boats, just like last year. After the boat races, the Splash Pad will be open until 8 PM. It would be a HUGE help if 4 to 8 scouts could attend (Class B Shirts) and help sand and build the boats.
NEXT THURSDAY – August 12th is Meet the Teacher across all Elementary Schools in WISD. We have been asked to help open doors (and hand out flyers) at each school. We’ll start at 5:30 PM and end at 7:00 PM. As Cubs finish “Meeting their Teacher” they will likely stand with us and help assist with doors and flyers. This will be a Class A event.
I know these are new situations for most of the Troop. However, reinvesting back into the Pack is the best way to ensure our future and continue to serve the Youth of Whitehouse, Troop, Arp, and the surrounding areas.
Please Let me know if you have any questions,
Jason
