Hey Troop!
We have a busy night tonight. The meeting will begin with elections for membership in the Order of the Arrow (Scoutings Honor Society). After that, patrols will elect new Patrol Leaders (except the Warrior Patrol). Warriors and Scouts attending the campout this weekend will plan meals after the elections. Scouts not attending the campout can work on any Rank or MB advancements as needed.
OA Eligibility – Scouts must:
- Have experienced 15 nights of Scout camping within the two years immediately prior to the election. The 15 nights must include one, but no more than one, long-term camp consisting of at least five consecutive nights of overnight camping. Only five nights of the long-term camp may be credited toward the 15-night camping requirement; the balance of the camping (10 nights) must be overnight, weekend, or other short-term camps of, at most, three nights each.
- At the time of their election, youth must be at least the First Class rank.
Scouts who want to run for the Patrol Leader position need to have their speech ready to roll.
See you all this evening,
Jason
